Ohio Aluminum's metallurgical lab is NADCAP certified for spectrograph, brinell testing, tensile testing and machining of test bars.  Our ability to handle bar preparation and testing in house assures fast delivery times.

Ohio Aluminum Foundry's aluminum casting alloys include, but are not limited to:  206, A206, 319, 355, C355, 356, A356, 357, A357, 380 and RR350.  We are capable of attaining the highest possible physical properties for brinell hardness and  tensile testing including yield strength, ultimate strength and elongation.  We carefully control specific gravities, metal chemistry and grain fineness.  Our NADCAP certified lab enables us to monitor and test onsite.

Ohio Aluminum has developed specialized processes to manufacture intricate cores.  Our highly trained core assemblers are equipped with custom designed fixtures and gages to enable consistent dimensional integrity.  This allows the engineering of castings with complex passageways that are required in the aerospace and defense industries.  OAI can produce aluminum castings of many alloys that cannot be made consistently anywhere else.

Onsite Heat TreatmentNADCAP accredited Heat Treating services are available at our plant. We use a Bottom Drop-type Solution Furnace which can process up to 2,500 lbs. per batch. Our processes can heat-treat to T4, T5, T6, T61, T7, T71 and full anneal levels.  We are one of the few foundry's in North America which is capable of heat treating RR350.
